Our Maple Practices

Our Maple Story

We are a first-generation, family-run maple syrup operation rooted in hard work, care for the land, and a respect for tradition. Quality is at the heart of everything we do, from the way we care for our trees to the syrup and baked goods that reach your table.

Our sugarbush spans over 100 acres, and every season we personally hand-walk the orchard to inspect, maintain, and prepare our vacuum lines. This hands-on approach allows us to catch issues early, protect the health of our trees, and ensure the sap we collect is as clean and pure as possible. It’s not the fastest way to do things, but it’s the right way.

As a first-generation operation, we’re focused on building something that lasts. Sustainability, long-term tree health, and thoughtful growth guide our decisions so future generations can continue the tradition.

Crafted With Care, Focused on Quality
Great maple syrup starts long before the sap ever flows. We carefully manage our forest, monitor our lines, and collect sap at peak freshness. Every step of the process from tree to bottle is handled with intention.

The result is rich, flavorful maple syrup with depth, character, and consistency you can taste.

More Than Syrup: Baking With Maple

Maple syrup isn’t just for pancakes. We proudly use pure maple as a natural sweetener in many of our baked goods. Maple brings more than sweetness—it adds warmth, depth, and complexity that refined sugars can’t match.

From walking our orchard by hand to baking with maple in our kitchen, everything we do is guided by quality, care, and a commitment to the future. We’re proud to share our maple syrup and our story with you.

By baking with maple, we’re able to:

  • Reduce reliance on refined sugars

  • Highlight natural, locally sourced ingredients

  • Create baked goods with a richer, more balanced flavor

  • It’s one more way we let maple shine beyond the bottle.

  • Unique Ways to Use Maple Syrup

How Maple Syrup Is Made

Maple syrup is a simple product—but making it well takes time and care.

  • Tapping – In late winter, taps are placed in maple trees when temperatures freeze at night and thaw during the day

  • Sap Collection – Sap flows naturally from the trees and is collected through our vacuum line system

  • Boiling – The sap is slowly boiled to remove water and concentrate the natural sugars

  • Filtering & Bottling – Finished syrup is filtered and bottled while hot to preserve quality

No additives. No shortcuts. Just pure maple syrup.

From Sap to Syrup: Did You Know?

  • It takes approximately 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of maple syrup

  • Sap is about 98% water when it comes out of the tree

  • The exact sap-to-syrup ratio varies each season depending on weather and sugar content

  • Maple syrup gets its flavor and color naturally during the boiling process

  • Every bottle represents countless steps, careful monitoring, and a whole lot of sap.
